Join us each summer from 9:00am-12:00pm for Heartland’s Vacation Bible School (VBS). Vacation Bible School is a week long program for children in Kindergarten to 5th grade (grade entering) to enjoy Bible lessons, crafts, recreation, and music. It provides an opportunity for us to bless those in our community with a week of activities for their children that are safe, fun and beneficial. Your children will be talking about this for the rest of the summer.
Each and every person is created in the image of God and should be given the opportunity to hear and understand His good news (Psalm 139:14). At Heartland Baptist Church, we view the Special Needs ministry of our church as a vital part of sharing the good news with all children, including those with special needs. This year the teachers and volunteers in Vacation Bible School have completed a training to help them understand how to best minister to children with special needs. Volunteer buddies will be paired with and work directly with each child. These volunteers will join them for every activity and be with them throughout the day and throughout Vacation Bible School. Finally, we understand that it can be very beneficial for some students to see their environment before attending and for parents to talk directly with Vacation Bible School teachers and volunteers about their child’s specific needs or concerns. So, we are offering a Vacation Bible School open house for those students on June 15th. We look forward to serving many families through this ministry, so please let us know how we can serve your family in the Special Needs box on the registration form. If you would like to speak with someone directly before the Vacation Bible School Open House, please make note of that on your registration form or feel free to contact Kim Hasty.
Grab your ID and head on over to Agency D3™! Come join us as we investigate the truth about Jesus! Kids will enter Worship Rally at the Headquarters and make their first stop in the Evidence Vault for Bible study. While collecting evidence, kids will also visit:
But in your hearts honor Christ the Lord as holy, always being prepared to make a defense to anyone who asks you for a reason for the hope that is in you; yet do it with gentleness and respect (1 Peter 3:15 ESV).
