- I’m New Here
- The Back Table
I appeal to you therefore, brothers, by the mercies of God, to present your bodies as a living sacrifice, holy and acceptable to God, which is your spiritual worship. Do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewal of your mind, that by testing you may discern what is the will of God, what is good and acceptable and perfect. (Romans 12:1-2 ESV) All of life is worship. We continually extol and pour out adoration in every area of our lives. “The problem with our outpouring is that it is fallen. It needs redeeming, else we spend our outpouring on false gods appearing to us in any number of guises. Salvation is the only way our continuous worship is set aright and urged into the fullness of Christ”(Harold Best, Unceasing Worship). When we approach worship as Christians, we are told by the apostle Paul to refuse to be conformed to the world’s idolatry and to be transformed by the renewal of our minds as we participate in the kingdom of Christ. This year, our Fall Bible Conference finds its focus upon our worship as participants within the kingdom of Christ. We want to see, from the pages of Scripture, how we can and indeed must joyfully pour out our lives in Christ-centered worship. Our speaker this year is Dr. Russell D. Moore of the Southern Baptist Theological Seminary. We eagerly anticipate a challenging time of Biblical examination of our lives, families and churches as he opens God’s Word with us.
